If you travel for work like my family does, our line of work crazy. We don't know how long we'll be staying somewhere, and when we'll have to pack up and go somewhere else. There's little to no parking. Most people have 2 or more vehicles, but we were packed in this park like sardines.
They're crooks. Before you decide to pull in for a temporary stay, make sure you ask to see a copy of their "policy."
They charge $750($21 a night) a month for the lower part (upfront) which is the most we've paid. That was fine. We're used to getting little to no money back if we leave before we originally had planned. This place not only does not give any refunds, they back charge you $47 a night for the amount of days you stayed.
Great pool, nice owners, Lodge has amazing pizza. Far enough away from the city for some really great views of the stars. Campsites just a little close together. Beautiful lake.
Nightly specials. - Weds Wings; Thurs Cheeseburger & Fries; Fri Pizza & Beer. Good pizza and wings.
We weren't able to receive mail, but i saw a fed ex truck pull in almost every day.
If you have time to find somewhere else to stay, I HIGHLY recommend it.
If I were you I would not stay at this Campground I certainly will not be returning I rented a campsite for a month with the possibility of renting for another month. During my stay I was on my way back to the campsite one day when I had to Swerve to avoid running over an animal that was crossing the road. Somebody must have been behind me and not seen the animal because they called the police and said I was driving erratically. When the police showed up to my camper I told them about the animal and what had happened and they laughed and went on their way. A couple days later the manager came by and told me that I would no longer be allowed to stay any longer than the month that I paid for. And that she would have kicked me out the day the police showed up if she would have known about it. I tried to explain to her that I did nothing wrong and it was just a silly misunderstanding. She didn't want to hear it and she walked away. So I decided it's definitely best that I leave this Campground. I am not been staying at the campground for a few days and I had called them and asked them when I needed to get my camper out. The lady on the phone told me that I had to have my camper out by noon on September 1st so on August 30th I went back to the campground closed my camper up and got it ready to go. I returned on the 31st to get my camper and found that my camper was not in the campsite. The manager had taken it upon herself to move my camper with not even so much as a phone call to get permission to move my camper. When I confronted her about this she told me that this is my Campground and I can do whatever I want to do. If I were you I would not stay at this Campground I certainly will not be returning. Through my interactions with the manager I have found her to be quite a wretched person
Berkshire is a great place to hang out. Friendly people, great food at the bar, everyone is extremely neighborly. Great place to be on OSU game day as well.
